Set Up Web Hosting" Z; v W5 ]' ?3 x+ \- ?
Getting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said
1 G8 B: s- e fabout internet hosting. In general, you get what you pay for with hosting. When you use a shared
4 l* h, |1 M0 r" U# Mhost for PPV traffic, you are putting yourself at huge risk because your bandwidth is shared with
3 |2 g; c4 l" h$ G J, z, A$ Q4 [whoever else is on the same server as you.
- K0 l6 w. s1 k! W! A1 KSpeed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast
3 I) c9 J4 L2 @. J9 Ienough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 39 K' V) j* j) K% R2 g8 Y
seconds before the user can get that window shut. If your offer doesn't show in that time, tough luck.3 X) _* u; ^# k- Y- P% y& j
To explain the difference between types of hosting packages, picture a refrigerator (the server) in a
E$ S* u8 l5 \% B! _house full of roommates (hosting customers).
1 k8 l" {5 P( Z) Z# y! hIn shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside3 d( X7 q% [: P$ k. `
the fridge where they are supposed to put their food. Everyone just jams their food in however it will0 i7 _5 x1 i, z) M
fit.
3 w7 |+ K$ E. y7 L4 `Say your roommate brings home a large turkey. They will then take up more of the refrigerator than
; t7 q/ D% O2 |; mthe rest of the roommates, by virtue of simply needing more space and resources to accommodate. ^3 F) n |5 U! Y: z
their food. Everyone else's food in the house has less space to take advantage of.
% c/ e* ^1 T8 F& R: B2 N: tIf you have less server resources to take advantage of, your ability to serve popups will slow down. For7 c' k- C" r! _0 I+ @. _4 L9 @+ T2 f
any type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.
# `" Y$ b" H0 a6 d+ ]7 s5 w- K4 X9 yIn the case of a virtual private server (VPS), everyone in the house has their own designated space
5 r7 W( d/ C5 D/ `inside the fridge to put their food, and other roommates can't come into that space. The server is
. Q5 M3 T1 U% Q( f/ Lpartitioned, so that each customer can only use a specific amount of resources at any given time.
& \+ o9 |( v% z2 z3 pA dedicated server would be like having the whole fridge to yourself. All of the server's resources

traffic, faster.
/ l+ K. R: F# q, ]& Z3 b8 MAt the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server.
