Getting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said

Speed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast
* |7 C. p$ T( P: ? F, Ienough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 3- ]2 { B p1 f. M x1 l% y
seconds before the user can get that window shut. If your offer doesn't show in that time, tough luck.
& p0 f# ?9 }( M5 hTo explain the difference between types of hosting packages, picture a refrigerator (the server) in a& y* I* S) ~# {0 ^4 t4 c$ P4 l
house full of roommates (hosting customers).
; }; z8 `$ @; D! F9 c: ZIn shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside' {- R( D2 M3 E: L( _, D O
the fridge where they are supposed to put their food. Everyone just jams their food in however it will4 d' ]8 {6 U! H! E6 {

) N* v# G9 P- D+ CSay your roommate brings home a large turkey. They will then take up more of the refrigerator than
o( H g+ w9 r" W7 t$ kthe rest of the roommates, by virtue of simply needing more space and resources to accommodate8 Y8 _3 Y7 b$ F& A0 }' D
their food. Everyone else's food in the house has less space to take advantage of.: G; m9 X: ]2 {% `
If you have less server resources to take advantage of, your ability to serve popups will slow down. For: \. S) x' q% `1 ?: T! r) r. u
any type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.3 G- J4 ]1 k# _4 Y! L
In the case of a virtual private server (VPS), everyone in the house has their own designated space
9 H3 @- k# R/ w0 Kinside the fridge to put their food, and other roommates can't come into that space. The server is4 j- `& a7 N$ X
partitioned, so that each customer can only use a specific amount of resources at any given time.8 d) ^2 I& y. |* U0 Q4 s4 x" L% q; c
A dedicated server would be like having the whole fridge to yourself. All of the server's resources
; ?; |1 S" W f+ U1 N: f1 Q n% Gbelong to you and no one else can use up those resources. This makes it possible to serve much more1 Q" f; W; T$ r3 G1 p3 g+ Q% A
traffic, faster.
, g/ l+ ?8 e/ NAt the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server.
