- ]( q5 n& B" e9 dGetting an internet hosting account is beyond the scope of this guide, but a few things need to be said
1 O" ?! S$ h, H, b* [about internet hosting. In general, you get what you pay for with hosting. When you use a shared: X; x9 }; G9 l; N& r

9 ^5 P" b: D3 }9 z: |whoever else is on the same server as you.8 k& {( p8 S) _8 ~) ^0 @1 V) w) F
Speed is the name of the game in PPV traffic. Your offers and landing pages need to pop up fast
- R$ [* | \4 V5 X% q# f- l5 Cenough that the visitor can't close the window before your pop up is even shown. You have about 3

. n# W' M/ ^( _house full of roommates (hosting customers)., I5 J/ V) \# e: Q3 j
In shared hosting, this is like having roommates where everyone has no specific designated area inside

- C! T" V S& {9 J7 lIf you have less server resources to take advantage of, your ability to serve popups will slow down. For+ x- Q! J8 U. V- R; s9 |+ @
any type of hosting this is a bad thing, and especially while running PPV traffic.* d+ K7 _- `5 q+ f, E& D* K. T6 u; r

inside the fridge to put their food, and other roommates can't come into that space. The server is
0 m @& C. q0 P# B9 i& Dpartitioned, so that each customer can only use a specific amount of resources at any given time.6 W, o t2 S4 M
A dedicated server would be like having the whole fridge to yourself. All of the server's resources5 o# N) A( I2 J t2 B3 T' B
belong to you and no one else can use up those resources. This makes it possible to serve much more
% r9 y8 \3 F l# ytraffic, faster., a4 x- T+ c8 ?5 v5 \5 ?/ I# y4 j
At the very minimum, you need a VPS to run PPV traffic, and at higher volumes, a dedicated server.4 ]- e; H0 X2 B, q
