eHygienics has been cleaning email lists since 2009. Never once have we hid our name or employees or our tactics on how we remove spamtraps, protestors, litigators and bounces. We share everything we do.
In fact, we are so transparent, we name each trap we find and give it to our clients for analysis. This idea of removing spamtraps and giving them not only in the PDF report but also in its own separate file (that’s right, you get the traps we remove and we name each one) was bound to get attention from spam fighters sooner or later.
In late 2012, eHygienics was growing and people were taking notice. We hired a CEO, Lara Wettig, and changed our corporate image. Immediately following, our new website was suspended due to a fake ROKSO listing created by Spamhaus because unfortunately NANAE (an online message board of spam fighters) received a spoof from Lara in which she never sent. Here is proof Spamhaus makes up fake SBLs.
eHygienics collects NANAE email address and uses them in their suppressions. Before eHygienics sends any newsletter, it’s cleaned through our own hygiene process. It’s clear that someone didn’t want eHygienics to succeed. This screenshot shows that someone either broke into eHygienics’ server or spoofed them under the domain name etnomania.ru. But who did it? It most certainly wasn’t us!
Was it a Spam Fighter?
The first to post about Lara’s spoof in NANAE was from spam fighter Kelly Chien of Chienworks. Click here for details. Kelly took it upon himself to post all of eHygienics’ email address on his harvesting website. We have confirmation from another list hygiene company that Kelly spoofed them in the past. Kelly Chien also is the one who purchased stophaus.org right after it was expired. He claims it wasn’t cybersquatting, but what would a spam fighter want with that domain? Stophaus.com is dedicated to stopping Spamhaus and their blackmailing practices. If you look at their website, Kelly makes fun of Andrew Stephens, the founder of StopHaus.
What is a competitor?
If eHygienics or Kelly Chien didn’t send the email spoof to NANAE, then who else sent it? Bryan Jenkins of ImpressionWise (eHygienics’ competition) is not a stranger to slandering eHygienics:
1.) On performoutsider.com, Bryan posted, “If James service is so good, why is he on the Rokso and can’t seem to clean traps out of his own mailings? 60 clients? try 10 at most. Who is he trying to kid?
2.) At ASW 2012, Bryan disguised himself under a false name, introduced himself to James as an interested prospect and had James introduce him to James’ clients at the party.
3.) At ASW 2013, Bryan Jenkins brought a bouncer to Todd McQuillin and had him forced out of MailerMeetup because according to Bryan, Todd wasn’t invited. Todd was invited by a team of mailers who wanted him there.
4.) Impressionwise.com’s website IP (205.178.189.131) shares the same server as accentinvestigations.com who’s IP’s belong to or are related to these spam fighters: securence.com, zoneedit.com, stopspam.org, redcondor.com, nospam-mailprotection.com, inter-corporate.com, solid.net, orbz.org, gbudb.net, hostkarma.com, isipp.com, goldendoodleworld.com, firstbase.com, spamhaus.org, webroot.com, vamsoft.com, webnola.com, netvision.net.il, clearmymail.com, truclean.co.za, spamcop.net, onlymyemail.com, symantec.com, pan-am.ca, nanae.org, compu.net, spamlab.com, bilim-systems.net, mimosasystems.com, tqmcube.com, eblockade.com, cymru.com, sbg-rbl.org, spamcannibal.org, spam-filter.com, lumbercartel.ca, cyveillance.com, uib.no, maysoft.com, spamgrouper.com, spammx.com.au, eldorado.ru, interserver.net, rackspace.com, epaxsys.net, fast.net, kempt.net, shri.net, orbitrbl.com, stonehenge.com, projecthoneypot.org. Why is there such strong relationships with the above spam fighters especially Spamhaus? The above information is real and factual at the time of writing this. Could ImpressionWise be working with the enemy or is this just a strange coincidence?
By the way, we have never done anything to harm ImpressionWise. We think highly of them and their system. We never have slandered them in any way. Was it competition jealousy? Maybe. It’s clear by the above actions that they do not like us.
And lastly, don’t forget that Mike Vickers, CEO of ImpressionWise has been sued in California for spamming.
Was it Spamhaus?
Did Spamhaus hack into eHygienics’ server and spoof them? It’s a possibility. It was right after this newsletter was sent out that eHygienics’ website was suspended for supposed spam. Spamhaus admitted to eHygienics that they created the SBL because eHygienics started a smear campaign against them. Here is the proof!
The newsletter exposed the real brains behind Spamhaus and the real names of the culprits. The above evidence should make our industry do some serious thinking. We know how to remove spamtraps. We don’t seed our lists to help spam fighters. We don’t spam. We don’t sell data. We are being stamped out because we are exposing something sinister in our industry.
We have been banned, smeared and taunted by our competition, NANAE and Spamhaus. We have resorted to using a free wordpress blog because Spamhaus hasn’t blackmailed them yet into suspending our account, however, they have coerced wordpress.com into taking our newsletters down with this:
“…We’ve received the DMCA notice below regarding material published on your WordPress.com site, which means the complainant is asserting ownership of this material and claiming that your use of it is not permitted by him/her or the law. As required by the DMCA, we have disabled public access to the material. Please note that republishing the material without permission from the copyright holder or submission of a valid DMCA counter-notice – or continuing to publish material that results in DMCA notices – will result in the permanent suspension of your WordPress.com site and/or account.
Repeated incidents of copyright infringement will also lead to the permanent suspension of your WordPress.com site. We certainly don’t want that to happen, so please delete any other material you may have uploaded for which you don’t have the necessary rights and and refrain from uploading additional material that you do not have permission to upload. Although we can’t provide legal advice, we’re happy to point you to copyright law resources that might help you make this determination…”
eHygienics isn’t going anywhere. We are a legitimate company with rights. We have every right to remove spamtraps, bounces, complainers and litigators from email marketing lists. The evidence above clearly shows that there is a war between spam fighters and us.
