Talks between Yahoo and Imgur began this autumn, according to a source talking to Business Insider, but this would be just the latest statement acquisition by Yahoo’s chief executive Marissa Mayer. + u! r0 l5 \0 D; y: x* I( z4 v3 ]+ x0 k5 Y
Since leaving Google in 2012, Mayer has bought dozens of popular web startups, including paying $1.1bn for blogging site Tumblr and £18m for news app Summly.( o: p4 @4 o H6 q0 R$ \
