I’m writing today to inform you of a company-wide decision to pause commercial activity in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This is a personal decision for us.

Like everybody around the world, we are closely watching the events unfolding in Ukraine and throughout the region. We proudly maintain a workforce of incredibly talented and devoted individuals in Ukraine, and have sister companies with staff in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. We have confirmed their safety, told them to prioritize their well-being, and offered financial and relocation assistance. For the moment, I'm pleased to tell you that everyone on our team has reported in as unharmed.
% y- F) ^' m0 a+ K( }What you need to know now is that Rakuten Advertising is ceasing performance marketing and media placements in these markets for at least the foreseeable future. We feel strongly that we should not facilitate business activity in this region at this tumultuous time and regret any impact this may have on your commercial opportunities.
