FTC再次出击
我其实还是蛮佩服FTC的，每次出击都是为消费者着想。。。这次终于向 free gift scam 出手了，各家 email submit， mobile submit的公司好日子太难过了。。尤其是鼎鼎大名的acqunity。。
如果每个国家都有FTC这样为人民着想的公司，我估计现在流行的mobile offer会倒掉90%。。
这些所谓 promo offer一旦被倒掉，那么也失去了一个重要的data 来源，后续如何？我们拭目以待

In response to thousands of complaints from consumers, the FTC moved today to shut down several major companies engaged in “free gift card scams.” The companies involved are Acquinity Interactive, Revenue Parth, World Wide Commerce, FireBrand Group and their respective owners and officers.
The complaint claims that consumers received “unwanted text messages” that claiming that they had won a prize and were directed to websites to receive such prize. In all cases, the FTC claims, that no prize was actually won, but instead consumers were directed to a registration path, which also often claimed that the prize was waiting to be received if more information was given.
In fact, as many in the industry know, no prize was won, but instead consumers are required to jump through a series of offers to receive the prize. According to the FTC complaint, “In most if not all instances, it is impossible for a consumer to qualify for the promised free merchandise without spending money.”
The complaint requests from the judge that all assets of the companies be seized and the companies put into immediate receivership for the purpose of repaying customers.

不过目前看下，最有潜力的还是MOBI的OFFER啊，当然是除了美国外的 卧槽，这几天adworkmedia的转换率极低(Submit类的都不转换了)和这个是不是也有关系？
